His Wisconsin accent made us laugh, but we learned about life from him. He worked as a janitor for years after graduating with his BA and Masters in English. He told us, life wont always come right on after graduating. Don’t expect to go straight to the top of the totem pole. Great advice back then. At 36 I do understand this after my hub is laid off and we will move back to Arkansas. However next year I will graduate with a Masters in Teaching Secondary Education. I wont miss the crime, traffic and being surrounded by water here in Baton Rouge. It will be good to see people that wave at each other! Imagine that I would actually miss the country.
