Went back to Colorado Springs a few weekends back and I felt so at home. These mountains always call me back west. I smelled the gas stove in my Grandma’s kitchen again and I love her and miss her so much.
I saw all my uncles and aunts and my cousins. It was so nice to get together with everyone. I knew she would be so happy to see all of us together again. We were just missing her Chile Verde, tortillas y frijoles.
I spoke at the Church and used the word “Ass”. She should forgive me, but she taught us to work our ass off. Really she raised 8 kids and helped with numerous grandkids. She had a great garden, Cherry tree and a crab apple tree we would climb and play on when out in her yard. I used to stand in her yard and stare at these mountains. Grandma I miss you and love you so much. You know the love in my heart and my thoughts. Thanks for your love!
